American Technology Company, employing
14,000 staff around the world, with a staff
of 60 in Australia, primarily in Sales,
Administration and Distribution. Capital
Knowledge forms part of their Australian
management team 6-8 days a month, providing
strategic HR advice on the restructure of
their sales team, recruitment of sales people,
managing the performance appraisal process,
identifying succession plans and coordinating
development plans for Managers. We work
in with the Corporate HR strategies and
directives from head office, attend the
regular country business review meetings
with the Executive team and help the local
managers deal with the ever-changing people
needs affecting their business.
Strategic and operational HR support
for long term outcome
Professional services firm, employing
45 people, with no HR support. HR was something
the Partners did in their spare time. Capital
Knowledge works 2 days a week on both operational
and strategic HR issues, including setting
up basic HR infrastructures such as employment
letters, performance appraisal system, tracking
probation periods, and exit interviews.
We have worked on their recruitment and
retention strategy to reduce high staff
turnover and terminations during the probation
period due to inappropriate recruitment
decisions. We are reviewing their remuneration
strategy and helping them collect and compile
market data to benchmark salaries and benefits
to attract people within a limited supply
market.

Australian Construction Company, merging
several of their businesses, sought advice
on planning and implementing their merger
